Emily Marsolek is a marketing and public relations professional, graphic designer, photographer, and videographer from Pleasantville, Wisconsin. She specializes in creating simplistic and naturalistic storytelling pieces that directly correlate with her childhood and different life experiences.. Emily utilizes a variety of colors, architecture, outdoor elements, and humans and animals within her pieces that has a connection to nature and the world. She is passionate about advocating and educating people of the importance of farming and the different challenges that farmers face.

The Reality: Family Farming
The collection of work captures the average working-class farmer who has seen or been dealing with community and financial struggles and mental and personal health issues. The work tells a story through the voices and visual images of the farmers, their homes and farms, and through quotations directly coming from the farmers. Through creation and ideation of the work, the artist has a deep connection, experience and understanding with agriculture and the different struggles and challenges these people face on a day-to-day basis and feels it is important to educate people about the genuity and hard work that it takes to be in the farming profession in 2025.

Volda, Norway - Study Abroad Documentation
This collection of work shows the naturalistic and cultural elements of Norway which is depicted through detailed and landscape shots. The collection features a local beekeeper and his bees and the landscape of the Volda, Norway community. The project shows the photographer’s study abroad experience point of view, while letting the viewer have a similar experience when viewing the artwork.

WRFW-FM DJ Personality Portraits
Marsolek was tasked with creating and taking new photos for the Spring 2025 WRFW-FM rebrand; specifically to update the website and promotion materials. This specific project showcases the different personalities of the DJs, while thinking about showing WRFW-FM in a positive light to their target audience.

Graphic Design Projects
While spending her time in Norway, Marsolek created two different videos with the help of teammates to achieve the goals of both of the Outdoor Media assignments. The video on the left, is a promotional video of a local Volda Norwegian Beekeeper and his business selling all natural honey to surrounding community members. Lastly, the video on the right, shows Marsolek’s connection to nature and is meant to inform and inspire the viewer to also connect with nature.
University of Wisconsin-River Falls : College of Arts and Sciences Viewbook
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls asked the class Design Publication to design a College of Arts and Sciences Viewbook to better showcase the college to perspective college students. Marsolek created a book that folded to help better create a memorable experience for the prospective student and help leave a strong impression and impact on them. Graphic design students were given content to use, but she added clubs and organizations that are on campus to show the perspective student the different clubs and organizations that they can be apart of and experience while attending school at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

School District of River Falls 2024-2025 School-Year Calendar
Graphic Design students were tasked with creating a school-year calendar for the School District of River Falls, while being able to fit all content that was provided on a 8.5 X11 sheet that could be used in both digital and print formats. Marsolek chose to go with the full calendar visual route, while writing out the important dates (did not include major holidays, breaks, or teacher inservice). To give the viewer a better and easier understanding of important dates and events happening throughout the 2024-2025 school-year.
