Artist Statement
When I begin to create art, I wait until I’m in the correct headspace, I never want to create when I’m stressed or not interested. My best work is when I’m excited and listening to my favorite music. I often focus on digital design, interior design, and graphite. For my digital work, I create app prototypes on Adobe Xd, or I make illustrations that are usually for the app. I do this for the pure joy of seeing someone using the app and not having any frustrating phrases such as “I hate this app”; I feel a similar way about interior design, where I want to see the joy in someone when they walk into a room. I want them to explore around, touch the room, and feel comfortable. When I work with graphite, I focus on drawing nature or humans because there is a calmness and beauty to it that I want to capture. I create for my audience and myself. I want to keep a connection with those who use my apps, live in the rooms I design, and find the calmness in my drawings.

Years in Photographs
Adobe Illustrator (2021)
Here I took all the photos on my phone from 2019 to 2021. I organized them into different categories and assigned them colors. I looked at different graphs to see how I wanted to present the data from the photos. Selected the circle graphs and got to illustrate them on Adobe Ai.
