Most of my work is inspired by my experiences growing up in a military family. Being able to travel through Virginia, New York, Alaska, Minnesota, and many places in-between allowed me to appreciate the differences in wildlife and vegetation in each state. I found inspiration from Virginia’s diverse population of wildlife, New York’s huge city, Alaska’s breathtaking mountains, and Minnesota’s lakes. I started reflecting what I found charming in each state through my artwork. By using multiple medias like acrylic, cardboard, colored pencil, paper, and ceramics, I’m able to share how I view the beauty of nature through art pieces. I’d like for anyone who sees my work to feel as if they’re in the foliage, to connect with it, as if they’re apart of my vision.
