“Hello, little pot!”
Hello! My name is Hailey! I’m a BFA Ceramicist, currently studying under the well renowned Mike. I have not always had a knack for this sort of thing, but I have come to know that art is an intrinsically human experience, whether we believe that we are artists or not. But enough of that wishy-washy stuff, let’s talk about pots! I am a potter who finds herself drawn to Earthenware or Dyed Stoneware. I find the interaction between a pot’s form and its surface to be a very fun and engaging place to begin exploring new ideas.

For the Scholars among you; an Artist Statement.
As an artist, I eternally strive for my work to connect to those who view it. I struggle with the day-to-day interactions in my life, and I feel sometimes connection can be hard for me. I want my work to connect to people better than I feel I am capable. I make work that encapsulates the best parts of myself, my humor and my love for those around me as best I can put it. I hope that you will have feelings about my work. Hold onto your feelings, for they are what matters in this world.
